• Lorraine Turci is an emerging French photographer with a documentary and visual practice. After studying at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Nantes, the desire to travel took her to Canada for several years, where she worked as a communications officer in an art gallery and then as a photo retoucher. She then embarked on cruise ships for four years as an onboard photographer to travel the world. Driven by the desire to build strong stories and question the world, she resumed her studies at the University of Perpignan and obtained a DU in documentary photography in 2019. She enters Hans Lucas the same year. Since then, she defends her authorial vision in personal photographic projects as well as in commissioned work for companies, NGOs and the press. Her work has been presented in festivals in France (Visa pour l'Image, Les Nuits Photographiques de Pierrevert...) and abroad (Canada, USA, Russia, Norway, Japan, Italy, Poland, Morocco, Lithuania, Greece ...). It was a finalist in the Lensculture Journey in 2020, the Prix du Photo-Reportage Étudiant Paris Match in 2019, and the France Info Golden Visa of Digital Information in 2019, and laureat for the TIFA Tokyo International Foto Awards in 2018, the Sienna International Photo Awards in 2018 and the Applied Arts Photography Awards of Toronto in 2016 and 2017.
